News Release: Flag raisings launch United Way Month in the territory (Sept. 30/20)

September 28: Mayor Dan Curtis proclaimed October as United Way Month at the City of Whitehorse council meeting.
October 1: Government of Yukon raised the United Way flag outside the Main Administration Building to mark the start of "United Way Month" in Yukon. UWY News Release
October 1: City of Whitehorse raised the United Way flag at both City Hall and 2 Mile Hill Fire Hall to mark the start of "United Way Month" in Whitehorse.
October 19: Online Silent Auction – Government of Canada staff based in the Elijah Smith Building in Whitehorse held annual United Way Yukon fundraiser online from Oct. 19-23. A total of $2,229 was raised -- thank you to the organizers and donors and especially to the Crown-Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada Yukon Regional Office team.
October 23: Staff at the Yukon Workers' Compensation, Health and Safety Board raised $1,424 through several internal events.
October 25: Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church donates $250 collected over two Sundays.
October 30: Yukon University staff wrap up a two-week-long campaign, raising about $10,000.
